Tantar Harpoon — Inspired by the Hunters of the Magellan Strait

The Tantar Harpoon draws its inspiration from the Kawésqar tribe, skilled fishermen and navigators who inhabited the extreme southern regions of Chile. Traveling through the icy waters of the Magellan Strait in sea wolf skin canoes, the Kawésqar people depended on handcrafted tools and harpoons for survival in one of the harshest environments on earth. Their ingenuity, resilience, and deep connection to the sea shaped generations of maritime hunting traditions.

Named after the “Tantar,” a multipointed harpoon used by the Kawésqar people, this tool reflects the practicality and resourcefulness of traditional fishing culture. Condor’s Tantar Harpoon features a disassembled design with two double end sets, allowing for compact transport and versatile outdoor use. Built with survival minded functionality and inspired by ancestral craftsmanship, the Tantar Harpoon carries the spirit of exploration and endurance from the southernmost waters of the world.
